I graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Finance (Go Terps!). My first real job was with Potomac Fund Management. I started right after college and, truth be told, I chose Potomac mainly because I had no clue what I wanted to do with my life. They say at a small company you have to wear a lot of hats - I have definitely worn my fair share. Over the many years of helping advisors streamline their businesses, this job became a career.
I am passionate about the small business story, because of the personal interactions and friends made along the journey. If I have the choice between a big box store or a small local shop, I’ll go local every time. Multi-step automated phone systems drive me insane. I am the person that hits the zero button right away so I can speak to a human being. If I get transferred more than three times, I tend to hang up the phone.
Lately, working out has become a big part of my life because I want to be a healthier person, not only for myself, but for my wife and daughter. I think health and fitness help me be a better person in business and in my personal relationships.
Being born and raised in Maryland means I put Old Bay on everything, and if you don’t like blue crabs...we just can’t be friends. Even though I love where I am from, I recently moved to Florida because, frankly, winter sucks. Nothing beats a good beach and an ocean breeze!
